    Elspeth McVeigh, Voice.

    Kelsey Zachary, Fiddle.

Coming with hopes and expectations, new immigrants experienced longing and loss for family, friends and the land they left behind –  also immense joy and optimism. The concert explores the music of Scotland and Northern Britain, brought to Canada by Scottish emigrants.

Elspeth McVeigh sings this beautiful music ( “Beautifully”), Kelsey Zachary plays the fiddle with all the knowledge and verve of a master (mistress!) fiddler.

This is the prelude to a show at the International Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August, and a treat not to be missed.
