The Vancouver Scottish Cultural Centre is guided by a dedicated leadership team committed to preserving and educating about Scottish culture while serving as an inclusive, multi-use community hub for Metro Vancouver. Together, our Board and staff provide the strategic direction, operational oversight, and stewardship of a valued cultural facility that supports diverse arts, cultural, and community programming.
Board of Directors
Our volunteer Board of Directors brings a broad range of professional expertise and community experience. The Board is responsible for governance, financial stewardship, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Vancouver Scottish Cultural Centre in alignment with our charitable purpose.
Through active oversight and thoughtful planning, the Board works to ensure the Centre remains accessible, financially responsible, and responsive to the evolving needs of our community.
Executive Leadership
Our executive leadership team oversees the day-to-day operations of the Vancouver Scottish Cultural Centre, ensuring that programs, partnerships, and facility management are delivered with professionalism and care.
Executive Director
Darryl Carracher has been with us for nearly 30 years, and provides overall leadership and strategic implementation, including operations, partnerships, and community engagement. This role ensures that the Centre continues to fulfill its mandate as a welcoming, multicultural space for arts and cultural activities and life’s significant celebrations.

Manages the ongoing care, maintenance, and functionality of the building, supporting safe and reliable use for all renters, performers, and community groups.
